HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEEKEND TO MUAH

It's my birthday weekend. I turned the big 28 on March 30th. My girlfriend and I celebrate our birthdays together every year because they are so close. We always do a sporty game, whether it's volleyball, kickball or wiffle ball. Tomorrow it's a game of wiffle ball followed by an after party at my place.

HELP {Need Planner/Agenda Book}

Ok ladies, I know someone out there has some good resources for me on this one! I need want to get a planner/agenda for my new job. I know I will be taking many notes the first week or so. Here's what I'm looking for:

+Medium size (8.5" x 11" or smaller)
+note pad (or I can add this myself)
+calendar
+stylish (duh!)

Please HELP, my online searching just isn't picking up what I am looking for.

GUESS WHAT

 I was HIRED! My prayers were answered and I will finally be doing what I Love. My title is Assistant Designer. The Interior Design firm I will be working for does highend residential homes {1.3-15K}. This is going to be a WONDERFUL opportunity for me. There is some traveling involved, for installations out of state as well as Design expos etc. I am so very excited for the traveling! My first day is March 29th {day before my 27th BIRTHDAY} I am so ready to focus and put everything into this job!

M E R R Y C H R I S T M A S

Only 4 more DAYS, I can't beleive it. I am still trying to shake off this sickness which isn't easy to do when your pulling your hair out so busy! I did get my holiday cards out in plenty of time, filled with a holiday picture of my CUTE Furry babies. Awwww. :)

I am going to be checking out early this week....have a little mini road trip planned with my guy! His Bday is Christmas Eve, and he is a die hard snowboarding maniac. So Wednesday morning REALLY early {still dark} we are heading out

 to Big Bear, CA for some  S N O W B O A R D I N G!

Going to RIDE all day Wednesday stay the night, then RIDE Christmas Eve a 1/2 day. Drive home and be home in time for late dinner at his parents for his Bday!

Goodbye Long Weekend…

What a great weekend!
I hope everyone enjoyed their time off, I know I sure did. We did some shopping, relaxing, home projects, watched a few good flicks. Great weekend! Now I am trying to mentally prepare myself for the busy work week that lies ahead.

One film my boyfriend and I watched was Food Inc. I was outraged and saddened {actually in tears} by what I was viewing. Let's just say it impacted me in a positive
way. So I am passing that on, to those who are interested.

I Just Want To D E S I G N.

While my day job, in the Mortgage Broker field is paying the bills...All I want to do is DESIGN DESIGN DESIGN. That is what I do, what I LOVE and really what I do BEST.  I am hoping for a better job market in 2010.  You with me?

I have been looking over old projects completed for school, I am so missing COLLEGE. At least developing new spaces, color boards, space plans and perspective images...I miss it. {I could do without Specs, all though I'd take just doing that for now..LOL}. Even the all nighters, with my then roomate & classmate {Brooke if you're reading, you know you MISS IT too}. We would be at Kinko's at 1 or 2 am printing our projects. Hoping the guy who gives us a discount was working, and when I say discount I mean about 60% off. That guy ROCKED. It is so expensive to print, and bind 11x17 format!

[Bla Bla Bla, I am sure is all you hear. The moral of my story is this....check out some of my work. I need to be putting my pretty little brain to better use than processing mortgage loans. Kaapeesh?!]

My guy made his sandwich this morning with 1 end slice + 1 whole slice , just so that I would have 2 whole slices for my turkey sandwich for lunch. {it was delicious}

Now that is love. If you just so happen to be reading this...I Love You! It truly is the small things. :)

A little thing called a J-O-B

Graduating college into today's economy just isn't what a college student was hoping for....that college student IS me. Now I am no longer a student. It is really WEIRD to say this. The job market for Interior Design (ID) positions are very limited and almost absolete....more so in my state ARIZONA.

I am m i s s i n g doing creative work, anything with DESIGN. Even spec sheets if I must!! The search continues....Highly Motivated & Enthusiastic Interior Design Grad searching for her "career" J-O-B....

B a h a m a s 2009

Every morning on my Bahamas trip started this way....a hot cup of joe and the ocean. Our hotel has a boardwalk that goes right along the beach. I went parasailing & snorkeling for the first time, both were an AMAZING experience. I saw beautiful fish from every color in the rainbow.

The Bahamas was a great experience and I will definitely be going back. With 700 islands and more than 1200 Keys and Cays...there is so much more to see!

I'm ready for my next travel adventure....

8 days...

I will be vacationing in the BAHAMAS!! For some much needed relaxation with my honey. This will be my first time visiting the islands. I cannot wait!

Just a little over 3 weeks until my actual Graduation day... MAY 8th!! I am finishing up my Senior project [a pretty dam big deal] and will be presenting to Design professionals the last week in April. (Wish me Luck!)

Ok back to work.....I will be back as soon as I have my degree in hand! =)
