AUTHORS LUNCHEON

over the weekend I was fortunate enough to attend the

31st Friends of Erma Bombeck Annual Author's Luncheon . The organization raises money for the Arizona Kidney Foundation, that day over $400,000 was raised. Every year my boss hosts a table and invites clients and friends etc. It was a lot of fun and I met and listened to some really respectable author's.

I bought Jessica Seinfeld's newest cook book called Double Delicious! You can find out more about the book and her at her Do It Delicious website. It has great quick and HEALTHY recipes. The most exciting part, was she signed it to me! Jessica gave a wonderful speech at the luncheon as did the other author's that attended.

Also in attendance was Adriani Trigiani, she was hysterical and her latest book "Don't Sing at the Table, Life Lessons from My Grandmother" sounds like a remarkable book. My mom bought this book and had her sign it. I am going to read it when she is done.

Book Worm

I am just about finished with Citizen Girl. {Going to finish immediately after this post} I really am not that intrigued by this book, nor a fan. I think finishing the book sounds better than just quitting. I just could not get into this book at all. Has anyone else read this? Maybe it's just me. It just didn't Catch ME.

I am going back and forth on what I should pick up next to read. I know I will LOVE My Horizontal Life by Chelsea Handler, and that I have been wanting to read it For Like Eva! I haven't bought it yet though. So my practical side is saying read something you already own! Duh.

Need a good Laugh?

Try reading Chelsea Handler's 2nd book .... Are you there, Vodka? It's me, Chelsea. This is a great summer read. I am a big fan of Chelsea Handler, she is Great! Her show on E! is hilarious as is SHE. This book will make you literally laugh out loud. I loved it!! I want to read her first book, My Horizontal Life next.

I also just finished another GREAT book. I received this book as a graduation gift from friends of my parents. The Five Lessons a Millionaire Taught Me--About Life and Wealth, by Richard Paul Evans. This book is great, I am going to follow the steps...as BEST as I can. Because I have decided to be wealthy. (This is the first step, decide to be wealthy)
