It's my birthday weekend. I turned the big 28 on March 30th. My girlfriend and I celebrate our birthdays together every year because they are so close. We always do a sporty game, whether it's volleyball, kickball or wiffle ball. Tomorrow it's a game of wiffle ball followed by an after party at my place.

This weekend I'll be soaking up the sun in Santa Monica with my guy. Looking forward to the beach, great food and seeing our fur babies enjoy the ocean too! Yep, we are bringing the mutts! Pet friendly hotels are awesome.

FASHION + VACATION

Ok FALL trends are here! I can't wait to get into cooler weather because I can't stop thinking about all the cute boots and booties @ Nordstroms. Over the knee boots are first on my list! Love the DV ones. {come in black & gray} Not to mention the bf cardigans at JCREW. Love!

I know, I know summer is still here.

VACATION TIME !!

I will be leaving tomorrow for 6 days to Coronado, California with my best girl friends.

7 I believe to be exact! We will ride bikes and soak up the beautiful CA rays! I can't wait, road trip begins @ 6:30 a.m. tomorrow. I am making road tunes cd's tonight with my favorite new zumba jams. {Enrique & shakira...LOVE}

Not too many plans this weekend, just hoping to get some things done around the house. Maybe antique store browsing???!!!....I don't know we'll see! Going to the farmers market tomorrow morning....hopefully they will have fresh dill so I can make my cold cucumber soup. {It's delicious...recipe next week}

Happy SUNSHINE Weekend

It is going to be sunny and beautiful all weekend long. I am planning meals outside on my patio to soak it up. I have many errands to run, and I want to finish reading Dear John. I read half the book in one sitting the other night, so I am close!

*Chelsea Handler was hilarious as always last night! She did seem to have had a few drinks before hand, lol. Josh Wolf opened for her and really got everyone laughing.

Oh Sunshine days

The weather has been so perfect! I am hoping the sunshine continues for my weekend! I have alot of home projects I'm going to be working on. The guy is going snowboarding until Tuesday, so I have plenty of things to occupy my time with! Oh and of course I wanted to leave you with my weekly dose of Skona Hem....oh I just love this bright sunny home.

Ok, I admit. I have said it before, I really do love Valentine's Day. I always have regardless is I was single or in a relationship. Well today I cannot wipe the smile off my face. My guy left me a note saying "Happy Valentines Day, I couldn't wait"....with a necklace and ring that I have been wanting on the dining table this morning. Mind you I showed him this in Dec. around Christmas time! Then I get a dozen red roses delivered to work along with a box of chocolates. So, so very sweet of him. I thought we agreed no gifts, but he has decided to spoil me otherwise. {awww, mushy I know}

Just wanted to leave with a these two great Valentine i n s p i r e d bedrooms found via Decorpad. I love the bed in the first image, so GLAM. 

Oh and also, I am sick of my long locks & I am considering cutting off 5-6 inches for a shorter sleeker look. What do you think? My appointment is Feb. 20th, I'm going to take the plunge! Here are my  inspiration picks for my new style!

::Weeds 5::

Does anyone love this show as much as I? The bf and I just rented Season 5 last night {now available on dvd!} We literally got disc 1 of 3, watched it and went back for the other 2 in the midst of the storm/tornado warning for Scottsdale. I was up late and still...4 episodes to watch tonight! Then I'll have to wait until season 6 comes out...

FRIDAY. I'm ready to get this work day over with and get my butt in the gym tonight to sweat out the stress of the week! I'm having a more positive outlook today than yesterday... {thanks for the support ladies} I cannot wait to watch the Golden Globes on Sunday, of course to see all the stunning and not so hot dresses! The Bisbee 1000 Great Stair Climb

Tomorrow I am doing the Bisbee 1000 Great Stair Climb! It is a 5k (+over 1000 steps) they say it feels like a 10k, but we will see. This is the map of the race. I am doing it with my guy and his parents. Wish me LUCK, this is my first race! :)

New Belguim Tour De Fat

I am proud to say, tomorrow I will be at Tour De Fat in Tempe, AZ. You come in on your bike & ride out on your bike!  {P.S. I cannot beleive I haven't posted a picture of my bicycle beauty!!!}

The donations for the event are given to a local charity, which is the best part! One lucky winner is taking the challenge and donating their car for a brand new bicycle courtesy of New Belguim. They encourage you to dress in an alter ego and HAVE FUN! Tomorrow should be a beautiful sunny day in the 80s. Plus most of my besties will be there too w/ there guys + bikes!

This weekend I am going camping with my guy and our furry pups. I am looking forward to crisp, clean air and the smell of pine trees. I’ll be able to catch up on some reading {just received 4 new magazines in the mail!}. I may even bring my canvas and work on another new piece. {I finished 2 paintings last night, I will post them SOON}
