HOLIDAY I N S P I R A T I O N

well my tree is up and it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. I still have to make a wreath for my front door. I just have too many ideas and can't figure what I want to do more. I do like the white pine cone wreath shown below. I just love all these creative ideas for holiday decorating from Living Etc.

MIX + MINGLE

i have jingle bell rock stuck in my head. What can I say, tis' the season! Did everyone get out their holiday decor this weekend asap?! I did. Minus the tree, but that will be going up next week. The holiday spirit is in full effect. I didn't get all the DIY holiday stuff done I wanted to, but it's looking real festive.

I like simple -not too fussy decor. I decided that my giraffe was the perfect stocking hanger. It's hard to see but my nephew made a snowman from foam pieces for me a few Christmas' ago, so I framed it with some natural paper backing and it looks great on the tv chest. I spray painted small pumpkins that I had left over from halloween/fall decor white & gold and now they are holiday festive! I also spray painted some pinecones white w/ a glimmer of gold, they turned out great.
My lil birch tree that usually sits on my desk looks nice on the mantle with some small ornaments on it.

INSPIRED BY NATURE

west Elm read my mind on holiday decor. I like simple modern decor. What type of holiday decor is in your home? I plan on decorating for Christmas this weekend and can't wait.

  I have a few holiday DIY projects this weekend which include:

+gold pinecones {spray paint the ones I have//maybe with a touch of white too}
+newspaper wreath {the idea is in my head....so hopefully I can make it happen}
+twine & clothespins {for displaying holiday cards}

3 More Days

I don't know about you, but I can hardly wait for Thanksgiving. I LOVE food. Like REALLY REALLY Love food. Stuffing, turkey, sweet potatoes here I come! yum. This year I am making hot artichoke dip {yum} to take to my bf parents and  fresh coleslaw to bring to my parents (everyone already is making the traditional sides, so I had to be creative) . My bf is baking 2 apple pies, one for his parents and one for mine. I can hardly wait to start the cooking!

What are you baking for Thanksgiving?
